Troubleshooting The mature wet fermentation process of Pu Pu tea takes up to 60 days and involves microorganisms. Therefore, the taste characteristics of Pu tea are different from the taste of other types of tea. The earthy taste is part of the general-taste. Keep in mind that a short (10-20 seconds) preheating (or rinsing) phase is required when brewing pressed tea. We also recommend smashing the mini cakes evenly for better rinsing and faster brewing process. Ordinary tea should be brewed with freshly boiled water (208-212°F).
